Taryn Verley, Playwright
Taryn Verley is a playwright and creative leader. In 2018 she founded the Eden Prairie Players Women’s One Acts Festival and directed the play Homespun Webs: Imagining Louise Bourgeois by C.J. Ehrlich for the inaugural production. Her writing credits include: featured playwright in Paula Vogel’s Ubi Roi Bake-Off short-play workshop at the Playwrights’ Center in 2018; co-writer of New Reality, a play produced by Theatre Unbound as part of its Xtreme Theatre Smackdown 2017; and co-creating The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, a new play by Brendan Jones, which was performed at the Ritz Theatre Mainstage in Minneapolis as part of the 2016 Minnesota Fringe Festival.
Taryn earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing and playwriting from Augsburg University in 2017, submitting an earlier draft of Darling as her thesis. Originally from Little Falls, Taryn now lives and works in Minneapolis.
